Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use, what they are for, and how you can manage your preferences.
Last updated: 23 June 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, keep authenticated sessions secure, and collect analytics data in aggregate form.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to work and cannot be disabled. They include the authentication session cookies managed by Supabase (sb-*-auth-token), which keep your session active and secure, and the scope and theme preferences stored in localStorage (salvus.scope, theme). No consent is required for these, as they are necessary to deliver the service.
3. Analytics and performance cookies
With your consent, we use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure platform usage and page performance. These services collect aggregated and anonymised data (va_id, va_uid). We may also use Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*), which collects anonymised usage data with anonymize_ip enabled. All analytics data is processed under the GDPR, with Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. You may reject these cookies at any time without losing access to the platform.
4. Managing your consent
When you first visit the platform, a cookie notice lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored locally (localStorage, key salvus.cookieConsent) and can be changed at any time by clearing your browser data or local storage for this domain. You can also manage or delete cookies directly in your browser settings.
5. Contact
For questions about this policy or personal data processing, contact info@salvus.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
